Pakistani balloon in the shape of an aircraft found in Kathua; expanded search underway in J&K

A mysterious aircraft-shaped balloon bearing the logo of Pakistan International Airlines was discovered in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Saturday, adding to the many instances in which security forces in Punjab hunt down Pakistani drones across the international border.

The mystery black and white balloon was discovered on the ground in Hiranagar, Kathua district.

The security officers confiscated the balloon and then conducted a search operation to determine its origin.

A similar incident with a green and white balloon in the form of an aeroplane that had the PIA emblem painted on it was recorded in February of this year in a Shimla apple orchard.
