Authorities are concerned after discovering a girl’s corpse in a remote area of Sector 20 due to possible rape and murder. The police have eliminated these possibilities based on the postmortem report that was released today. Authorities and the police indicated that the girl could have committed suicide.

Today, the corpse was posthumously received by the board of physicians and given to the girl’s family. Based on a report from the girl’s brother, one of their neighbors has been detained by the police for aiding and abetting suicide.

The girl (20), who was residing in Sector 20 with her family, was from Unnao in the Uttar Pradesh. She had moved to the city a few months before.

Her brother, according to the family, got a call on Wednesday night, and she informed them that her neighbor, Subhash, knew where she was. They said that after this, Subhash and her brother went in search of the girl.

The girl’s brother said that Subhash knew where she was when he spoke with the medical staff outside the morgue. At the Sector 6 Government Hospital, the girl was pronounced deceased.

Later on, a rope that was discovered dangling from the tree was located by the police. In order to assess the situation, Panchkula DCP Himadri Kaushik and ASP Manpreet Sudan visited the location and the hospital. Subhash was taken into custody by the police after the autopsy and inquiry.

Sector 20 SHO Following the brother’s testimony, Bachchu Singh said that a complaint under Section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the IPC was filed. Subhash, the neighbor, was then detained. He added that rape and murder were ruled out by the postmortem findings. He said, “The blood on her body was caused by her menstruation.”
