Pawar calms down the irate party leader who was not selected for Raver

Nashik: Following a meeting with Santosh Chaudhary, a senior party functionary from Jalgaon and former MLA from Bhusawal, NCP-SCP president Sharad Pawar said that he will be working for party candidate Shriram Patil, who is running for the Raver seat.

Chaudhary informed TOI that his discussions with the NCP (SCP) supremo were productive.
It should be mentioned that Chaudhary was resentful of the party’s leadership for failing to propose him as the Raver Lok Sabha candidate.

He had begun his campaign and was eager to compete. Chaudhary was outraged, however, when the party leadership chose local entrepreneur Shriram Patil as the candidate for the seat.
Pawar and Chaudhary spoke for about an hour on the fringes of Sunday’s election rally at Jamner, which is located in the Raver LS constituency in the Jalgaon district. In light of the LS polls and the upcoming state assembly elections, Pawar engaged with the former MLA on a variety of Jalgaon-related matters during the meeting and was able to win him over. Additionally, Pawar advised Chaudhary to support Patil in his endeavor to win.

In light of the LS and assembly elections, Chaudhary informed TOI that Pawar evaluated the political landscape in the Jalgaon area during the meeting. He stated he was no longer unhappy with the party leadership, although he was not disclosing any more information from the meeting.
Chaudhary said, “I will campaign and exert every effort for Patil’s victory.”
Party office-bearers and workers in the Raver LS constituency have been told by Pawar to work together in order to win the Raver seat, according to Ravindra Patil, the party’s district president for Jalgaon. He said, “We are confident that NCP-SCP will win and have started campaigning for Patil.”
Raksha Khadse, the current MP for the Raver LS seat, was put up by the BJP.
