Phase 2 Polling For The Lok Sabha Election 2024: A List Of Things To Know & Avoid

On Friday, April 26, 89 seats spread across 13 states and Union territories (UT) will participate in the second round of voting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. On Wednesday, April 24, the second round of vote campaigns came to a conclusion.

All 20 seats in Kerala, 14 of the 28 seats in Karnataka, 13 seats in Rajasthan, 8 seats in each of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, 7 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 5 seats in each of Assam and Bihar, 3 seats in each of Chhattisgarh and West Bengal, and 1 seat each in Manipur, Tripura, and Jammu and Kashmir will be up for election in Phase 2 of the Lok Sabha elections.

Listed below are some dos and don’ts for voters:

Verify your name and polling place on the voter list before casting your ballot. You may do this by going to the official website of the Election Commission.

Before you travel to the polls for the important Lok Sabha elections in 2024, make sure you check the hours of voting at your particular polling place.

Keep your driver’s license, Aadhar, voter ID card, and other identity cards with you at all times.

To help you make the best decision, familiarize yourself with the candidates running from your constituency before you come out to vote.

Check the output of the VVPAT machine, which is connected to the EVM, after casting your vote. Report any discrepancies to the officer in charge.

Avoids

Please refrain from using your phone at the polling place.

Voting should not be done while snapping selfies or photos since there might be repercussions.

Voting under someone else’s name is never appropriate and impersonating another voter is a criminal offense.

Bring nothing that endorses a candidate’s or political party’s emblem.

When casting your ballot, don’t hit more than one button. Voters are not allowed to reveal the name of the candidate or party they support.
