Prime Minister Modi is set to inaugurate a multitude of developmental endeavors totaling more than Rs 19,600 crore in Odisha today

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to unveil development initiatives totaling more than Rs 19,600 crore in Odisha on Tuesday during his sojourn to the state.

March 5 also marks the birth anniversary of former chief minister Biju Patnaik, after whom the ruling BJD is christened.

The initiatives span various sectors, encompassing oil and gas, railways, roads, transportation, highways, and atomic energy.

Adequate Security Measures Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ashish Kumar Singh, conversing with ANI, affirmed that security arrangements have been meticulously orchestrated in light of the PM’s visit.

“In contemplation of PM Modi’s visit, we have ensured a comprehensive security arrangement. Over 3000 police personnel, under the guidance of seasoned officers, have been deployed. Teams have been allocated duties according to the outlined programs,” Singh stated.

What Will PM Modi Inaugurate? PM Modi is set to inaugurate the monoethylene glycol project of the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. in Paradip refinery, further bolstering India’s efforts to diminish import reliance. Additionally, he will dedicate to the nation a 344-km-long product pipeline stretching from Paradip in Odisha to Haldia in West Bengal.

In a bid to enhance import infrastructure along the eastern coast, the Prime Minister will inaugurate a 0.6 MMTPA LPG import facility at Paradip. Furthermore, he will unveil the four-laning of the Singhara to Binjabahal section of NH-49, the Binjabahal to Tileibani section of NH-49, the Balasore-Jharpokharia section of NH-18, and the Tangi-Bhubaneswar section of NH-16.

Itinerary Of PM Modi The PM is slated to arrive at Chandikhole in Jajpur district around 3:30 pm and deliver an address to the public.

“At approximately 3:30 pm, the PM will deliver a public discourse,” stated Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal.

March 5 also marks the birth anniversary of former chief minister Biju Patnaik, after whom the ruling BJD is named.

Moreover, he will lay the foundation stone for the eight-lane Chandikhole-Paradip road.

The PM will also dedicate to the nation the 162-km-long Bansapani-Daitari-Tomka-Jakhapura rail line. This development is poised not only to augment existing capacity but also to streamline the transportation of iron and manganese ore from Keonjhar to nearby ports and steel plants, as per the statement.

PM Modi will additionally inaugurate a 5-ml seawater desalination plant at Odisha Sands Complex of Indian Rare Earths Ltd. This facility has been constructed as part of the practical application of indigenous desalination technologies developed by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.

The PM’s last visit to the state was on February 3,, when he unveiled projects worth over Rs 68,000 crore.
