Reacting to the BJP’s demand for a CBI inquiry, Shivakumar declares, “K’taka government will deal with the Hubballi murder.”

On Monday, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that the state government would handle the CBI investigation into the Hubballi murder case in their own manner, but he has no issues with it.

“We have nothing against what they want to do, so let them do whatever they want.” There is no doubt that the Karnataka administration would handle this matter in its own manner,” he said.

His comments followed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s call for a CBI investigation into the Karnataka death of a Congress Councillor’s daughter. The girl was stabbed to death, according to reports, by a guy from a different group after she turned down his proposal of marriage.

Last week, she was stabbed on the BVB College campus. The BJP said that the police are attempting to “divert” the investigation after her murder.

In the meanwhile, the father of the victim also called for a comprehensive CBI inquiry into the matter. Additionally, he insisted that the police commissioner overseeing the case be moved.

The father of the Hubballi girl who was slain, Niranjan Hiremath, has called for a CBI probe into the killing.

In addition, he urged that the police commissioner overseeing the investigation be replaced and accused the police of incompetence.

“I’ve publicly disclosed the identities of eight individuals. Not even a single individual has been apprehended. I’m starting to lose hope. They’re attempting to sidetrack me. If you are unable to accomplish it, give it to CBI. Even the female commissioner in this case does not seem to be taking the murder of a girl seriously. She has some pressure on her while she works. I insist that the commissioner be moved because of their carelessness in this matter. Hiremath told ANI on Sunday, “I demand that the case be handed to CBI.”

In response to the murder, BJP leader JP Nadda said that the Karnataka government was engaging in appeasement politics.

This event is horrible, and we denounce it. The remarks made about this occurrence by Home Minister G Parameshwara and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah are unacceptable. Their assertions weaken the inquiry. Karnataka’s populace would not hold the present administration responsible for its politics of appeasement, Nadda said.

If the State Police is unable to conduct a fair investigation, the state government need to turn the matter over to the CBI. In addition, Hiremath has insisted that the CBI look into the event since he has no knowledge
