Tamil Nadu: In the Kodanad murder-heist case, the SIT has called four witnesses

Four more witnesses have been called by the CB-CID’s special investigation team (SIT) to testify on Tuesday in the Kodanad murder-heist case.

Sources claim that Devan and Ramesh Babu were employed by the Kodanad estate. Abdul Kadhar, the third witness, owns and operates a car accessories business in Coimbatore, where the suspects bought fictitious license plates for two vehicles. Joseph, the fourth witness, was approached by the group prior to the crime when he was employed as a money exchange agent during the demonetisation.

In the meanwhile, the Nilgiris District Session Court hosted the case’s hearing on Monday. Suspect Jithin Joy’s attorney requested a copy of the SIT’s report after the March 7 examination of the Kodanad property. In response, the CB-CID SIT’s attorney said that no tampering or disruptions were discovered at the crime site. According to reports, the suspect is anticipated to get a copy of the report during the next hearing.
