Tejashwi Yadav asserts, “JP Nadda brought five bags of cash for distribution among voters.”

NEW DELHI: Tejashwi Yadav, a leader of the RJD and a former deputy chief minister, said on Thursday that the BJP was buying votes in Bihar in advance of the second round of the Lok Sabha elections.

Yadav said that during his most recent visit, BJP leader JP Nadda brought five bags of cash to give to voters.

“I’ve been informed that JP Nadda, the leader of the BJP, has brought over a lot of luggage.

“He is dispersing them in locations where elections are being held,” Tejashwi told reporters.

“Check this out; the claims are genuine. I’m not telling lies. Openly, agencies are assisting him. He’s travelling from Delhi with five luggage,” he continued.

Tejashwi also took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for remarks he made recently on the Congress party’s purported plans to seize people’s wealth and property. Yadav said that women are finding it difficult to buy gold, especially mangalsutras, as a result of the rising rate of inflation.

“Just look at the price of gold these days, women cannot even afford a mangalsutra today and they are talking about snatching it away,” he said.

In reaction to Prime Minister Modi’s statement, in which he said, “When they (Congress) were in government, they said that Muslims have the first right over India’s resources,” Tejashwi made his remark. Thus, they will divide up this money (gold and property) among illegal immigrants and those who are having more children; your Mangalsutra won’t even be spared by this urban Naxal mindset.”

Tejashwi Yadav asked the Prime Minister a number of questions in a video that he uploaded on X. “May I inquire, Prime Minister Modi, why do you wish to abolish democracy and the Constitution?” he said. Why do you want to deny Dalits, who are underprivileged, backward, and destitute, their employment and reservation? Why do you want to see the affluent become wealthier and the poor go poorer? You were granted 39 seats by Bihar, but in ten years, what did you deliver in Bihar? How about visiting Bihar to discuss work?”
