Shekhar Suman breaks down talking about his first son’s death and his illness in detail: ‘I was lying with his body all night. Our pain intensified’

After a lengthy break, Shekhar Suman will appear on film in “Heeramandi,” directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In addition to being a well-known host for his programs like “Simply Shekhar,” the actor is recognized for a variety of television series and motion pictures. Aside from his roles on cinema, Shekhar is well known for being outspoken and open about everything. He recently spoke candidly about the sickness his older son Aayush endured. At the age of eleven, Shekhar lost his first son.

The National Organization for Uncommon Disorders (NORD) states that Aayush has endomyocardial fibrosis (EMF), an uncommon condition that damages the heart. Shekhar spoke further on the illness’s awareness as well as the suffering he endured after losing his kid. “EMF is a disease so rare that it affects only one in billions,” he said in a conversation with ABP. There may only be three or four examples in India, as far as I’m aware. Regretfully, a heart transplant is the sole available therapy; there is no known cure.”

He went on to say that when they hurried Aayush to the hospital, he was still in his arms, but the doctor told them baby had passed away. “I sobbed a lot while laying with him and his body throughout day and night. Alka sobbed a lot as well, but she soon recovered her composure. What more pain, suffering, and grief can parents experience than saying goodbye to their kid, sacrificing them to the fire, and encircling the funeral pyre? We thought that as time healed the wounds, the discomfort would lessen, but Shekhar said that instead it became worse.

The actor acknowledged that every effort was made to rescue him. The fact that he survived for four years instead of only eight months was due to divine intervention. Shekhar and his spouse were distraught, staring at his face all night long. They felt as if they were dying with him, and they were deeply powerless.
