The IT sector is invited to establish facilities in Ladakh

In an effort to strengthen the local economy, information technology and IT Enabled Services (ITES) have been asked to establish factories in the Union Territory by Secretary of Information Technology, Ladakh, Amit Sharma.

At the sixth edition of the Internet of Things (IoT) conference, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and held in New Delhi, Amit Sharma was invited as the special guest.

Amit Sharma emphasized to the attendees at the National Capital that innovation may be fully unleashed via seamless integration. “I see a future where the IoT nexus transforms lives and landscapes,” he said. By integrating devices, data, and aspirations to create a smarter and more sustainable future, let’s forge new routes for wealth and advancement and create the greatest IoT hub to usher our area into the digital era.

“The Internet of Things” (IoT) in general terms, such as smart watches, smart phones, AR-VR, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and industrial even agricultural-based gadgets, is the “new norm” and is always changing in the modern era, according to Sharma. Every new technology stands the risk of becoming outdated since IoT-based alternatives are always emerging.

Sharma extended an invitation to the IT and ITES sectors to establish operations in Ladakh and concentrate their investments there, namely in electronics production and cutting-edge fields like IoT, AI, cloud computing, and data centers. He said, “The establishment of an electronics manufacturing cluster under the EMC 2.0 Scheme is UT of Ladakh’s vision for a new era.”
