Two Bambiha gang members were detained in Jalandhar for plotting “target killings” in Punjab

With the arrest of two criminals from the Bambiha gang and the seizure of three firearms and one kilogram of opium from them, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police, under the command of Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma, has made a significant breakthrough in preventing planned target assassinations.

Giving specifics, the Commissioner of Police said that the police had received information from sources that two notorious criminals with ties to the Bambiha gang were operating in the city and were intending to assassinate members of their rival group. He said that the police apprehended Anil Kumar, also known as Rocky, based on the information provided, and that they took from him a 32-bore handgun, a magazine, and three live cartridges.

According to Sharma, Rocky had been incarcerated for eight years in several locations around the state and had more than 20 charges against him pending.

The Commissioner of Police said that Rocky acknowledged over the course of the inquiry that one of his accomplices, Mukesh Sharma, also known by the nickname Munna, who resides in Karol Bagh, was also involved in this scheme.

He said that Munna was sought by the police and had already been proclaimed PO in three NDPS cases that had been filed against him.

According to Sharma, Munna was apprehended by the police, and they took from him one kilogram of opium, two 32-bore handguns, four magazines, and six cartridges.
