What Prime Minister Modi said about singer Maithili Thakur’s song on Maa Shabri before to the opening of the Ram temple

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday commended artist Maithili Thakur, who is from Bihar, for her song “Maa Shabri,” which is about the Ramayana lady who, during her exile, sent half-eaten fruit to Lord Ram. Modi’s commendation occurs before the January 22 consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

On X, the previous Twitter platform, Modi shared a link to the song on YouTube and said that the “Pran-Pratishtha” event is reminding the nation’s citizens of events that happened in Lord Ram’s life.

On this day of Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya, my family members around the nation are being reminded of all the events surrounding the life and principles of Lord Shri Ram. One such touching story has to do with Shabri. He remarked, “Listen to how Maithili Thakur ji has incorporated it into her catchy tunes.”

Maithili Thakur, who is well-known for her Hindi and Bhojpuri song vocals, rose to fame in 2011 after participating in the Zee TV reality series “Little Champs.” After four years, she participated in two more reality TV shows: “Indian Idol Junior” and “Rising Star,” where she placed runner-up.

With more than 44 lakh members, Maithili has amassed over 1,000 video views on YouTube. She now has more than 40 lakh Instagram followers.

Since the beginning of the month, Modi has been posting bhajans of Lord Ram sung in many languages in order to build up to the much-expected “Pran Pratishtha” event.

Modi posted a playlist of 62 Ram Bhajans on X on Friday. The playlist was dedicated to Lord Ram. PM Modi posted on X, sharing a YouTube link to the compiled collection of songs, saying: “Many people have been sharing their favorite #ShriRamBhajan songs over the last few days.” Provide a playlist that includes some of them. Discover the allure of Prabhu Shri Ram to all people, as each Bhajan unites us in adoration despite language barriers.
