Widespread fractures in the Vadodara BJP are exposed

Gujarat’s Lok Sabha candidates were announced, and the state unit was rocked by demonstrations. The BJP National Women’s Wing vice-president, Dr. Jyotiben Pandya, spearheaded the protest in Vadodara against the party’s choice to run Ranjan Bhatt for the seat a third time.

According to Pandya, Anandiben Patel exerted pressure on Bhatt to get the ticket. The BJP then intervened and suspended her from the party as a main member.

In a media interview after her suspension, Dr. Pandya shared her thoughts. “I have worked for the party for the last 28 years, putting my family last. Why does it feel necessary to provide the ticket to Ranjan Bhatt a third time? You will find that Ranjan Bhatt does not share the BJP’s DNA if you check. I wonder whether the BJP is selecting Bhatt as their only deserving candidate.

Additionally, Dr. Pandya said that Gujarat BJP President CR Patil was complicit in her failure to get a ticket. “CR Patil is approachable and provides assistance when needed, but his capacity for action is restricted,” the statement said.
