A day after being called up to India, Sarfaraz Khan shares a photo from an early-morning training session

With his debut call-up to the Test team for the current home series against England, Mumbai batsman Sarfaraz Khan has moved one step closer to realizing his ambition of representing his country in cricket.

In 45 first-class games, Sarfaraz has amassed 3912 runs at an average of 69.85, with 14 century and 11 half-centuries.

Sarfaraz has been added to India’s team for the second Test, which is scheduled to begin in Visakhapatnam on February 2 along with Washington Sundar and Saurabh Kumar, who are not yet capped.

Sarfaraz seems to be doing his research since he posted a photo of Mumbai’s Cross Maidan early on Tuesday morning, maybe before a workout.

In a video released on Monday, just after Sarfaraz was called up to the Indian team, his father praised the BCCI and the selectors for believing in the 26-year-old.

I express my gratitude to the Mumbai Cricket Association, National Cricket Academy, BCCI, selectors, and well-wishers for their belief in him. He said, “I hope he performs well for the nation and helps the squad win.
