Dinesh Karthik’s Prospects Of Making India’s T20 World Cup Squad Following IPL 2024 Heroes, According To Rohit Sharma

Chandigarh: During an IPL match, Rohit Sharma made fun of Dinesh Karthik’s unlikely chance of joining the T20 World Cup team. Karthik did not take it lightly, however, as he crushed the Chennai Super Kings for an incredible 83* off 45 balls to make a strong case for a position in the T20 World Cup. A few days after the match, Rohit was questioned on Karthik’s prospects of making the plane to the United States. “It’ll be hard to convince MS Dhoni for the World Cup, DK will be easier to convince,” Rohit said in a humorous way.

In a conversation with former Australian great Adam Gilchrist, Rohit also said how he is not a “big fan” of the Impact Sub rule for the 2024 Indian Premier League.

Rohit, meantime, is about to achieve a significant milestone when MI plays Punjab at Mullanpur tonight, when MI faces PBKS. Rohit will play in his 250th IPL match, making him the second player to reach that milestone. He has scored 6472 runs at an average of 30.10 over 249 IPL games.

In order to restart their campaign, MI would want to win this match.

MI’s Most Likely XI: Tim David, Mohammad Nabi, Romario Shepherd, Shreyas Gopal, Gerald Coetzee, Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Madhwal, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan (wk), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (C), [Sub: Suryakumar Yadav, Impact]
