Indian Cricket Team’s Dream11 Named Lead Sponsor for Three Years

The popular fantasy sports game site Dream11 has been named the team’s new primary sponsor. According to BCCI, the agreement was inked for a three-year period.

Immediately after the Indian Cricket Board’s June 14 announcement of a tender for the jersey sponsorship, CricketNext was the first to disclose that Dream11 had joined.

“Dream11 will be seen on Team India jerseys starting from the Test series against the West Indies, the team’s first assignment in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle,” the BCCI said in a statement on Saturday.

According to BCCI President Roger Binny, one of the board’s key concerns is improving the fan experience. He thinks that the ‘partnership’ would aid in this effort.

“I applaud Dream11 and look forward to seeing them back. The BCCI-Dream11 collaboration has expanded from being the official sponsor of BCCI to now serving as the primary sponsor, according to Binny.

“It is a clear illustration of the reliability, worth, potential, and development that Indian Cricket brings. Enhancing fan experience is one of our key goals as we get ready to host the ICC World Cup later this year, and I am convinced that this cooperation will help us improve the fan engagement experience,” he said.

The relationship is something that Dream Sports’ co-founder and CEO, Harsh Jain, is looking forward to.

“Dream11 is excited to expand our relationship as a long-time partner of BCCI and Team India. Dream11 is proud to be the primary sponsor of the National team since we share a passion for cricket with the one billion Indian cricket fans. In a statement, Jain added, “We look forward to continuing to assist the Indian sports ecosystem.

The Indian squad has been without a jersey contract since Byju’s, who had an optional sponsorship arrangement in place until November, terminated the contract earlier this year.

Even when BCCI decreased the basic price, according to sources, there was little demand.
