Wasim Jaffer’s amusing article on the IPL 2024 trend, “Roz utho, nahao, pito aur so jao,” goes viral

Given that the home team has won each of the first nine games in the 2024 IPL, the first week has been fantastic for the home side. Travelling hasn’t turned out to be lucky since, despite some near calls, none of the away teams have been able to cross the finish line.

Hopefully, this will change in the second week. The outcome has meant that the clubs who haven’t played at home yet—the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians—haven’t opened their accounts since they’ve lost both of their games.
Some teams, like the Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, who have won their first two games at home, and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who have only played once, are also unbeaten. They will be hoping that the trend changes when they play their first away game of the season on Friday, March 29, against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, a titans’ clash.

Wasim Jaffer, a former Indian cricket player, was able to summarise it with a humorous meme thanks to the trend. In reference to the away teams, who have not been able to get favourable outcomes this season, Jaffer tweeted the well-known meme “roz utho, nahao, pito aur so jao” from the famous Indian Netflix TV series “Sacred Games.”

It is anticipated that the run will end in the next few days, anyway. If not on Friday, it may occur over the weekend when the reigning champion Chennai Super Kings square off against the Delhi Capitals at their new home ground of Vizag and Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are in spectacular form, play the Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad.
