Amid a deepfake controversy, Rashmika Mandanna is trolled as she travels to Mumbai for an animal trailer event

On Tuesday night, as Rashmika Mandanna was in Mumbai for the trailer presentation of her next film Animal, she was surrounded by her admirers. A video that went viral on social media showed the “national crush” having trouble walking as admirers swarmed around her to snap photographs with their favorite star. Rashmika, nevertheless, maintained her composure and gave admirers images in return.

A number of Rashmika Mandanna’s supporters responded to the video and voiced their concerns shortly after it was posted online. One of the followers remarked, “Give her space so she can breathe.” Another remark said, “Arey she is fully trapped.”

For the premiere of the trailer for her next film Animal, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor in the main role, Rashmika Mandanna is in Mumbai. Their first joint project together is the movie. In addition to the two, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor play significant parts in Animal. The movie’s trailer claims that Ranbir’s character’s relationship sets him on the road to become a gangster, where he finally meets Bobby Deol’s character, who plays his adversary. In this film, Anil Kapoor portrays Ranbir’s father. Animal, which is helmed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy, will open in theaters on December 1.

Rashmika Mandanna, meantime, has also been in the news when her deepfake video went viral. It all began when a modified video of the Pushpa actress appeared on social media and showed a lady with her face entering an elevator while dressed formfittingly. After celebrity Amitabh Bachchan requested legal action on the microblogging platform X, the footage quickly gained widespread attention.

Rashmika Mandanna responded to it later and described it as “scary.” “It pains me to disclose this, but I have to speak about the deepfake video that is becoming viral online of me. Something like this really terrifies me, as it does all of us, who are so exposed to damage in this day and age due to improper use of technology. As a woman and an actor, I am grateful to my family, friends, and well-wishers today for providing me with protection and support. If this had happened to me in high school or college, though, I don’t think I could have handled it. Before additional people are impacted by identity theft of this kind, we as a community must act quickly to solve this, the woman said on her Instagram stories.

A number of celebrities voiced their concerns about the viral video, including Mrunal Thakur, Naga Chaitanya, and Vijay Deverakonda.
