A tragedy in the UP claims 22 lives

22 people—mostly women and children—were murdered in a horrific car accident in this Uttar Pradesh area on Saturday.

District Magistrate Prem Ranjan Singh reports that 22 people have died, including 8 women and 7 children.

Around ten in the morning, a tractor-trolley on Kasganj’s Patiali Dariyavganj Road plunged into a pond.

There have been seven kid deaths and eight female devotee deaths in the cart. On Maghi Purnima, every victim was going to bathe at Ganga Ghat.

Relief and rescue efforts are being carried out by local police officers and people.

There were around forty persons on board the unfortunate tractor-trolley.

The devotees who were saved from the pond have been sent to the Patiali health hospital. It is believed that the devotees are from the Etah district’s Kaha village.

Rajeev Aggarwal, the CMO, revealed that 15 persons had perished in the collision. Of them, eight are women and seven are children.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, has conveyed his sorrow over the deaths. He has requested that the government provide the wounded full medical care and pay the surviving relatives of the dead.
