Ayodhya’s All-Women Team Performs Ram Leela Before the Temple’s Inauguration

Ayodhya: Ayodhya’s temple town is getting ready for the January 22 Ram Temple inauguration ceremony. A number of cultural, traditional folk arts, and spiritual events are planned for the big day. An official statement from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that a number of well-known Ram Leelas from both India and beyond would be performed to highlight the importance of Lord Ram everywhere.

at this regard, from Makar Sankranti (January 15) to January 22, numerous Ram Leelas forms will be staged at Ayodhya’s cultural venues in an effort to heighten the grandeur of the consecration ritual of Lord Ram.

Various events based on the life of Lord Ram will be presented by Ram Leela troupes from states like Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Karnataka, Sikkim, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Chandigarh.

For the next eleven days at Ayodhya, a group of ladies from Uttarakhand are enacting Ram Leela. In the drama Ram Leela, at least fifty ladies are portraying the parts of Lord Ram and Ravana.

“We are getting the chance to perform at Ayodhya after having previously done a number of Ram Leelas in Uttarakhand. One of the female organizers told NDTV, “We are happy to perform here and have permission from Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra General Secretary Champat Rai. The procedure was helped by Chamoli VHP Chief Pratap Singh Rudra.

Another organizer gave further information on the previous Ramleela performances, saying, “Our group’s specialty is that we are from different areas in Uttarakhand. We have performed Ram Leela in Delhi. An all-female troupe would play Lord Ram and Raavan during the whole Ram Leela. While some of the ladies in our group work as farmers, they are in Ayodhya for the Ram Leela.”

When asked why they were taking part in the cultural event, she said, “We want to advance Sanatana Dharma.”

According to news agency ANI, performances featuring Ramleelas from all over the globe and India are scheduled on the Tulsi Manch at Tulsi Bhawan Memorial.

“Under Yogi Adityanath’s direction, Uttar Pradesh has taken on a new character as a result of the development that has advanced in the state’s many spiritual cities. Programs related to culture and spirituality that are happening in Ayodhya are also connected to respect for religion. The official release said that “those folk traditions that have kept the ideals of Lord Shri Ram alive through their presentations in society will be given priority in these programs.”

On December 31, Ayodhya welcomed the New Year with cries of “Jai Shri Ram” as a large crowd of locals and visitors gathered at the famous Lata Mangeshkar Chowk close to Naya Ghat.

According to Mr. Rai, the dedication of Ram Lalla in the recently constructed Ayodhya temple is scheduled for January 22 at 12:20 p.m. Attending the consecration event will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
