NOIDA: The 72.3 km RRTS-cum-metro line from Ghaziabad fast train station to Noida International Airport (NIA) has been the subject of a final report from the NCR Transport Corporation. It is anticipated to be operational by April 2030.
As soon as it’s prepared, it will take 37 minutes for quick service and 50 minutes for regular service to go from Ghaziabad to the airport.

Sarai Kale Khan may also be reached by plane from IGI airport in 66 minutes and NIA airport in 56 minutes. Travellers will reach Meerut in seventy-two minutes.
37 minutes from Ghaziabad to NIA: RRTS route plan available
The corridor would be divided into two portions, one running from the Ghaziabad RRTS station to Ecotech VI near Kasna and the other from Ecotech VI to the ground transport centre (GTC) of the Noida airport, according the project study.
According to the draft proposal, the corridor would initially include 22 stops, but an additional 13 stations may be built later.
With the option to add three stations later, the initial stretch, measuring 39.4 km, will have seven RRTS and eleven metro stations. At the beginning, there will be four RRTS stations along the second phase, which will be 32.9 kilometres long. Later on this stretch, ten stations may be added, including one RRTS and nine metro.
According to officials, metro trains will stop at every station, while fast rail trains would only stop at RRTS stations.
The UP government’s approval is required before construction on the route can begin. According to officials, both portions will be developed concurrently, and the Rs 20,043.6-crore corridor should be finished in five years.
The DPR states that section 1 would connect to both the current station at Alpha 1 and the projected Aqua Line metro station at Greater Noida West’s Sector 4 station. It will begin at the Ghaziabad RRTS station and be an elevated route. It will pass via the Greater Noida Link route (Knowledge Park-V), Char Murti Chowk, Taj Highway, Vishwakarma Road (Siddharth Vihar/Pratap Vihar in Ghaziabad), and Surajpur-Kasna route. The path would terminate at EcoTech VI in the Kasna region after passing through Pari Chowk.
The second leg will begin at EcoTech VI and go over the Eastern Peripheral Motorway (EPE) to link the surrounding communities of Dayanatpur, Kishorpur, Dankaur, Kanarsi, Dhanauri Khurd, Bhatta, Parsaul, Rabupura, and Parsaul. It will end close to NIA’s Terminal 1 at the GTC.
It is suggested that the GTC be situated in the middle, only a short walk from the two passenger terminals.
A planned 10-kilometre Aqua Line metro extension between Char Murti Chowk and Knowledge Park V would be included in the section between Ghaziabad and the EcoTech VI corridor, while Section 2 will encompass the proposed pod taxi/Light Rail Transit (LRT) line from NIA to Film City (Sector 21) in the YEIDA region.
