“Fake BSP nominee” and SP’s Aonla candidate are accused of cheating

Bareilly: Neeraj Maurya, the SP candidate for Aonla, and a “friend” who he is said to have tried to put up on a BSP ticket are the targets of a cheating allegation. Maurya and the “fake candidate,” Satveer Singh, were accused by BSP district president Rajiv Kumar Singh of “forging party president Mayawati’s signature on the election nomination form.”

The two were accused under sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 467 (forgery), 468 (forgery with the intent to deceive), 471 (using forged papers as authentic), and 420 (cheating).

Abid Ali and Satveer both claimed to be the party’s “official choice” when they filed their candidacy paperwork on the BSP emblem, causing confusion in the Aonla seat a few days ago.

Mayawati then emphasized that Ali was the nominee of the party. She suspended Bhramswaroop Sagar, the divisional coordinator, and Satveer after the FIR was lodged due to their “negligence and inability to mention correct facts in the FIR.”

Ali officially submitted his nomination when the BSP first announced his candidacy for the Aonla seat. Satveer, however, also filed his papers for the same seat on the last day of nomination, claiming BSP membership.

The BSP’s two nominations for the same seat sparked concerns when the EC looked into them on Saturday. Ali’s candidacy was on the verge of being withdrawn, but Satveer’s nomination was withdrawn thanks to the intervention of a BSP district functionary.

Neeraj Maurya and Satveer are close friends who live in the Shahjahanpur district’s Jalalabad neighborhood, according to Ali in an interview with TOI. Satveer even thanked Maurya on social media after his successful acquisition of the SP ticket.

At a news conference in Bareilly after the FIR was filed, Maurya said, “My name is being dragged because of my popularity among voters, and I have no connection with Satveer’s nomination.” I have no doubts about establishing my innocence.

Bareilly rejects the BSP candidate’s form; Aonla is unsure about party preference. accusations of conspiracy and signature fabrication. The police were notified of the evidence. Authorities are looking into the situation.

West UP’s next general elections will be very important, with BSP candidates, minority votes, and tactical changes among different caste groupings all playing major roles. The Samajwadi Party and BJP-RLD candidates’ performances would be greatly impacted by the results.

Alok Mishra and Ramesh Awasthi petitioned for Kanpur. Ashok Paswan, Ram Gopal, and Valendra Katiyar petitioned for Akbarpur. Mishra takes issue with the BJP’s evolution. Awasthi feels upbeat about the BJP’s prospects. Noted anomalies in Awasthi’s submission.
