In Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, the roof of an under-construction resort falls, killing two laborers

Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh: Two laborers died in a sad accident on Friday night when the roof of a resort that was still under construction unexpectedly fell, according to police.

The event happened at the Laser Resort, which is located in the remote Kotwali district of Bahraich along the Bahraich-Sitapur route.

Eight laborers were working underneath the building at the time of the accident, according to the police.

Two of them perished when the ceiling collapsed, while others only suffered minor wounds.

The wounded were sent to Bahraich Medical College for treatment, while the corpses of the dead were retrieved after hours of rescue attempts. In order to free the trapped laborers, heavy gear was also deployed and SDRF troops provided aid.

Two laborers lost their lives when the roof of the resort that was still under construction fell; the remaining workers only suffered minor injuries. Rescue efforts are now under progress, according to Ranjan Srivastava, the additional district magistrate for Bahraich.
