PM Modi claims that Cong and SP want to take away OBC rights

AGRA, SHAHJAHANPUR, BAREILLY: During three election rallies in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, PM Modi took aim at the Congress-Samajwadi Party coalition in Agra, Bareilly, and Shahjahanpur.
At the first rally, Modi remarked at Kothi Meena Bazaar venue in Agra, “They aim to take away rights of OBCs like Yadav, Kurmi, Maurya, Kushwaha, Jat-Gujjar, Rajbhar, Teli, and Pal, and give them to their ‘preferred’ vote bank.”

“The SP is abandoning Yadavs and the lower castes for its own benefit. This culture of appeasement characterizes both Congress and SP, who want to covertly transfer OBC privileges. He questioned the assembly, “Will you give up your property to the dishonest SP-Congress alliance?”
The PM said, “They’ve got their eyes on the savings of our mothers and sisters, but I’m standing as your watchman (chowkidar),” using the phrase “chowkidar,” which he has used often in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. “Aisa koi bhi paap karne se phele apko Modi se nipatna padega, jab tak Modi zinda hain.”
“Those who have committed acts of corruption will be held accountable and their embezzled funds will be reimbursed to the victims.” He said, “We are looking for legal counsel on how to get the money that has been stolen back, along with the cars and houses that have been taken from these dishonest people. In his 39-minute address in Agra, Modi made several attacks on the opposition. Congress has always fought for religion-based quota, whether in Andhra or Karnataka. Its will to pursue this goal is unwavering in the face of legal and constitutional restraints. As seen in Karnataka, where all Muslim castes were placed in the OBC category, their tactic included reallocating the OBC quota. He remarked, “While Modi focuses on uplifting the poor, Congress’s manifesto for the 2024 elections bears a 100% imprint of the Muslim League.” He said that he too is of “OBC background.” “Congress-SP and ‘INDI alliance’ plans to impose a 55% tax on inheritance,” Modi further said in Agra.

“They claim they will use the Congress prince’s X-ray machine to investigate your belongings, seizing everything and redistributing it,” he said. A significant chunk of everything you leave for your kids will be taken by them. Only two of the four rooms in a home you build will belong to your children; Congress-SP will take the other two. In the same way, your children will inherit just five bighas of land if you possess ten. They’ll even accept the “mangalsutra” worn by ladies. Are you prepared to give them your belongings? Interestingly, on Wednesday, Indian Overseas Congress head Sam Pitroda—a close associate of the Nehru-Gandhi family—sparked controversy with a comment he made on “inheritance laws in the US”. Later, Congress made a point of rejecting Pitroda’s statement. “The UPA government tried to give religion-based reservation in UP before I came to power,” Modi said during his 28-minute address in Bareilly’s Aonla. Congress and SP are attempting to do the same thing this time around, although they were unsuccessful the last time.
“Before I came to power, there were announcements made at railway stations, bus stations, and on TV that if you see any unclaimed thing, bag, or tiffin anywhere, do not touch it because there was a fear that there would be a bomb in the unclaimed things and hence the govt had to tell people this every day,” the prime minister said, appealing to first-time voters at his third rally in Uttar Pradesh, Shahjahanpur.
