The Noida Scrap Mafia Arrested in Thailand with girlfriend Kajal Jha and Ravi Kana

The girlfriend of fugitive bandit Ravi Nagar, also known as Ravi Kaana, who is sought by the Noida Police on many occasions out of western Uttar Pradesh, and her partner Kajal Jha were apprehended in Thailand. For a very long period, they were both running away.

The news agency PTI reports that Nagar, who is purportedly engaged in the scrap trade, was the subject of a FIR filed at the Beta 2 police station in Greater Noida on January 2, this year, under the strict Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act.

The 42-year-old scrap mafia from Noida is also a defendant in a case involving gang rape. On December 28, 2023, a complaint was filed against him at the Noida Sector 39 police station.

“The Gautam Buddh Nagar police have maintained communication with local authorities overseas as well as Interpol.” According to a senior police official cited by PTI, “a lookout circular and red corner notice were also issued against him in January this year over suspicions that he could flee the country.” The official said that Jha and Nagar had been captured in Thailand.

Following the proper legal processes for their trial on the charges now pending against them in Uttar Pradesh, the accused will be returned to Greater Noida.

A 500-page charge sheet presented to the court lists Ravi Kana’s girlfriend as an equal participant in his criminal enterprises, and the police have classified Kana as the kingpin of those crimes.

The police in this area have detained around twelve members of his gang and sealed allegedly ill-gotten property, including factories, offices, and cars valued at about Rs 200 crore, since the Gangsters Act case was filed.

According to the authorities, Nagar has been involved in the junk trade, where he reportedly used illegal influence to gain contracts and even stole materials from industrial sites.
