Mukhtar Ansari’s death: Today, in his hometown of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, the gangster-turned-politician will be put to rest after passing away on Thursday night after a cardiac attack. To avoid any law and order problems, officials claimed that prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC have been placed throughout the town and that strict security measures are in place.

According to accounts, Ansari’s corpse arrived in Ghazipur early on Saturday morning under heavy security, and the gangster-turned-politician’s burial is scheduled for this morning at approximately 10 AM.

The family has announced that he will be buried in the Kalibagh cemetery.

It took some time for us to get the corpse; therefore, tonight’s last rites cannot be done. We’ll finish it tomorrow morning. Sibgatullah Ansari, the elder brother of Mukhtar Ansari, told news agency ANI on Friday night, “I ask everyone to pray for him.”

Son writes to DM, demanding an autopsy from AIIMS physicians.
Ansari’s remains were post-mortemed at the Banda Medical College and Hospital earlier on Friday. Nonetheless, Umar Ansari, his son, has insisted that a group of medical professionals from AIIMS Delhi do his father’s post-mortem.

Umar wrote to District Magistrate (DM) Banda requesting that the autopsy of the dead gangster be performed by physicians from AIIMS, Delhi, since the family is dissatisfied with the medico-legal system in Banda district.

“Post-mortems are how they do things. I’ve sent a letter arguing that physicians at AIIMS Delhi need to handle it. Here, we have no faith in the government, the medical system, or the administration. You understand why I’m stating this. The panchnama is finished. The District Magistrate must decide. Watch what he decides, please. He said, “The postmortem has not yet started.

“We’re hoping the court will assist in looking into the concerns we’re raising. We’ll speak with our legal counsel. We are certain that this was a planned murder rather than a spontaneous death,” he said.

Afsha Ansari could show up disguised at her husband’s funeral.
Afsha Ansari, the wife of Mukhtar Ansari, is said to be dressing up to attend the burial, according to stories in the local media that cite police sources. Following her involvement in two money laundering cases by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Afsha went on the run.

Afsha Ansari is the target of a police reward, and the investigating agency has issued a watch notice for her.

The police suspect that Afsha, who has been missing for the previous two years, could try to attend the burial in disguise. As a result, they have put in place procedures to arrest her should she show up.

According to an official, female police officers dressed in civilian clothes have been stationed near the home of Mukhtar Ansari in Ghazipur and at the Kalibagh cemetery, where the politician-gangster would be buried.

Abbas Ansari won’t attend the burial
It seems unlikely that Abbas Ansari, the jailed son of Mukhtar Ansari, would be permitted to attend his father’s burial. Abbas had petitioned the Supreme Court to be allowed to see his father’s funeral ceremonies, but the case hasn’t been taken up by the highest court yet.

Abbas Ansari, a Mau MLA, is being held in the Kasganj prison in Uttar Pradesh.

A court in Uttar Pradesh ordered a judicial investigation into the imprisoned gangster’s killing on Friday in response to the claims.
