Traveling by bus to Ayodhya: Speaker invites UP legislators, absent SP MLAs, to visit Ram Temple on CM

Today, the legislators of Uttar Pradesh are visiting the Ram Temple in Ayodhya under the leadership of Speaker Satish Mahana and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, turned down the invitation issued by the Speaker of the Assembly on Saturday, which placed a number of opposition MLAs on notice.

All members of the Assembly and Legislative Council, including those from RLD and Congress, were on a bus to Ayodhya on Sunday morning, with the exception of the SP MLAs. As the bus carrying the MLAs and MLCs pulled into Ayodhya, people showered it with flowers.

On Sunday afternoon, KP Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, the deputy chief ministers, were also visiting the Ram Temple.

The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly’s Speaker, Satish Mahana, said, “I was involved in the ‘Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Andolan,’ so this holds special significance for me.” I’m feeling so emotional right now. I’m overjoyed.

Images from outside the UP Assembly were circulated early in the morning, showing MLAs singing “Jai Shri Ram” before leaving for Ayodhya.

BJP MLA Aditi Singh thanked the news agency ANI on Sunday for giving her the chance to visit Ayodhya, saying, “This is about religion and faith and above petty politics.”

Prior to leaving Moradabad to become a BJP MLA in Ayodhya, Ritesh Gupta expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Adityanath for giving him the chance to have Ram Lalla’s darshan, saying he was lucky to have the opportunity. Everyone want to go to Ayodhya and get a darshan after the Pran Pratishtha event. All MLAs will be traveling to Ayodhya united today due to the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

“The leaders of Samajwadi Party are politicising the issue but we are not,” said BSP MLA Umashankar Singh in response to the party’s leaders. As a secular party, we respect all faiths. Should a mosque be constructed there tomorrow, we will return as well. This shouldn’t be politicized.

The Speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly instructed Akhilesh to accompany them to Ayodhya on Saturday during the Budget Session. The opposition leader, Akhilesh, countered, saying, “We will go only when Lord Shri Ram calls us.”
