UP: Mutilated body of missing teen discovered in Firozabad
The corpse of a missing 15-year-old girl was discovered in mangled state in a field in the Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh, according to authorities.
The little girl may have been sexually molested before being strangled to death while wearing a “dupatta” (stole).
A police official claimed that three teams have been formed to examine the case and that the corpse has been submitted for a post-mortem examination.
“The 15-year-old girl walked to a field close to the hamlet to relieve herself on Friday at 2 p.m. and has been missing ever since. On Saturday, a farmer discovered her corpse in a disfigured state, according to Sarvesh Mishra, superintendent of police.
He continued by saying that the victim’s mouth looked to have been gagged and that she had bruises around her eyes, suggesting that she had been abused.
A complaint has been filed against unnamed individuals based on preliminary investigation under sections 302 (murder) and 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act. stated Mishra.
