UP: Ayodhya-Transferred Civil Judge Suicides at Home in Badayun

It is said that a civil judge committed herself on Saturday at her official house in Badayun, Uttar Pradesh.

Justice Jyotsana Rai, a Mau native, served a year-long posting in Badayun. A year ago, she moved to Badayun from Ayodhya for her position. Her previous posting was this one.

According to an ANI report citing sources, Rai’s assistants called the police on Saturday morning after she failed to answer her door.

The district judge, SSP, and judicial authorities arrived to the judge’s house after learning about the occurrence. Additionally, a forensic team showed there and began gathering evidence.

It’s not immediately apparent why Rai took such drastic measures. We anticipate further information.
