Was Shaheen Shah Afridi’s Congratulatory Post on ChatGPT Written for Pakistani Bowler Naseem Shah?

at the third Twenty20 International match at Rawalpindi versus New Zealand, Pakistan’s top bowler, Naseem Shah, achieved a noteworthy achievement. He took 1-44 in three overs during a forgettable game, but he still claimed his 100th wicket in international cricket. Shah’s teammate cricket player Shaheen Afridi praised his feat on social media, sharing his happiness after Shah took 51 wickets in Tests, 32 in ODIs, and 17 in T20Is.

“Naseem Shah, congrats on your incredible 100 wickets in international cricket! Your bowling is still captivating and motivating! read the note from Afridi that was attached to Shah’s photo.

But when a user requested ChatGPT to compose a tweet applauding Shah’s achievement, unexpected humor ensued. Many were surprised to see that ChatGPT’s reaction exactly echoed Afridi’s “exact” statement, which caused people to giggle all across the internet.

Upon joining in the fun, other people made fun of Pakistani cricket players’ grammar. One person said, “You can confidently conclude that a text was not authored by a Pakistani handle if you notice neatly placed commas and punctuation! But how did he enter such a command in Chatgpt with remarkable precision, wondered another user? Once again, it’s from Pakistan.

Nevertheless, News18 found that different users received various responses from ChatGPT when it checked on the same query. It answered a question by saying, “Yeah, I authored that tweet! It commemorates Naseem Shah’s 100 international wickets and recognizes his impressive bowling abilities,” but it also says, “Although I didn’t create this letter explicitly, it fits with the type of congratulations one could anticipate for such a milestone in sports,” in response to another.

The fact that ChatGPT’s replies varied depending on the user is an intriguing observation that heightens the humor around the cricketer’s post. Nevertheless, there’s not enough proof to support the assertion that Afridi did it via ChatGPT.

Regarding cricket, New Zealand pulled off an incredible comeback against Pakistan in the five-match Twenty20 International series. In the third game at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Mark Chapman guided the visitors to a seven-wicket win that even the series at 1-1.
