World Record Set by Dog With Tongue Longer Than Soda Can

Guinness World Records has been given to a three-year-old German Shepherd and Labrador mix with a tongue that is longer than a Coke can. With a 12.7 cm (5 inches) long tongue, Zoey has set a record for the longest canine tongue. The tongue of the mixed-breed dog often protruded from her mouth as a puppy, according to Zoey, Drew, and Sadie Williams’ owners who live in Metairie, Louisiana, in the United States. The two thought Zoey would eventually get used to it, but that didn’t happen.

People soon started making remarks about the dog’s lengthy stay. According to Sadie, the puppy joined the household when she was only six weeks old. She remembered how her tongue is visible in the very first photo they had of Zoey. “We assumed she would adapt, but it is clear that she didn’t. In relation to her physique, she still has a really large tongue, Sadie observed.

As the dog played outdoors and started to pant, Drew said, her tongue “would be slobbering all over the place.” The owners chose to get Zoey’s tongue measured by a veterinarian last year. The owners were informed that Zoey would soon be known for the unique trait when the measurement was made from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tongue.

Drew explained that they had to give everyone who wants to touch the dog a caution about her slobbering. People may sometimes approach her when we are out walking her and want to pet her. He said, “Every now and then she will drool on you, despite how affectionate she is, leaving them with a noticeable slobber stain on their black clothes.

Zoey enjoys fetching balls, chasing squirrels, swimming in the canal, and going on drives but despises baths.

Zoey’s record tops Bisbee’s, who achieved the same feat over three months earlier. The dog, also said to be three years old, has a tongue that is 9.49 cm (3.74 inches) long. Tucson, Arizona is home to the English Setter.
