Lok Sabha Elections 2024: RJD gives the Congress nine seats in Bihar so that it may run for 26 seats on its own, including Purnia

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has chosen to run for 26 seats, including Purnia, after giving the Congress as many as nine seats in Bihar.

Pataliputra, Hajipur, Siwan, Sheohar, Purvi Champaran, Purnia, Supaul, Gaya, Nawada, Jahanabad, Aurangabad, Buxar, Jamui, Banka, Valmiki Nagar, Munger, Sitamarhi, Vaishali, Saran, Darbhanga, Gopalganj, Madhubani, Ujiarpur, Araria, Madhepura, and Jhanjharpur are among the 26 seats they comprise.
Kishanganj, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, West Champaran, Patna Sahib, Sasaram, and Maharajganj are among the nine seats in Bihar that the Congress will now run for.

In light of the partnership, the RJD has chosen to grant the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation (CPI-ML) the seats in Nalanda, Karakat, and Arrah for the Lok Sabha. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Janata Dal-United (JDU) will square off against each other in 12 seats, including Valmiki Nagar, Sitamarhi, Jhanjharpur, Supaul, Purnia, Madhepura, Gopalganj, Siwan, Banka, Munger, Sheohar, and Jahanabad. The RJD will face off against the BJP in 10 seats, including Purvi Champaran, Aurangabad, Madhubani, Araria, Darbhanga, Saran, Ujiarpur, Nawada, Pataliputra, and Buxar.

Regarding the Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas (LJP-RV), which is headed by Chirag Paswan, the RJD will face up against it directly in three seats: Vaishali, Hajipur, and Jamui.

In addition, the Congress party will face the BJP directly in five seats: Muzaffarpur, Patna Sahib, Sasaram, Paschim Champaran, and Maharajganj. The party and the JDU will face off in three seats: Bhagalpur, Katihar, and Kishanganj.
