Nitish on Amit Shah’s Visit to Bihar: “Everyone is Free to Come”

Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, said that anybody is welcome to go to the state before of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s Thursday visit to Lakhisarai.

After the opposition parties gathered here on June 23 to debate and map out a course for the general election of 2024, Shah’s visit to the state later in the day would be the first by any prominent BJP leader.

While addressing reporters at this location, Kumar dodged queries on the Modi administration’s adamant support for the Uniform Civil Code.

“Anyone may come here at any time. In response to inquiries about Shah’s planned trip to Lakhisarai later in the day, the chief minister said that everyone has the right to visit Bihar.

When questioned about the gathering of opposition parties he held today, Kumar said, “The conference is ended. We’ll talk more about this later.

Shah is expected to land at the Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport in this city this afternoon and board a chopper to go the 150 kilometers to Lakhisarai in the Munger district. He will speak at a significant gathering in Lakhisarai. Senior BJP figures, including Samrat Choudhary, the state party president, and union ministers from Bihar will welcome him.

Before addressing a public gathering there, Shah will also worship at Ashok Dham, a well-known temple devoted to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

Shah hadn’t been to the state since over three months before.

Meanwhile, supporters of the opposition BJP and the governing Mahagathbandhan parties have set up posters at the airport and in other places around Patna in anticipation of his arrival to Lakhisarai. the abuse of the CBI, ED, and Income Tax agency by the BJP leadership, as well as the violence in Manipur, were criticized in those put up by supporters of the Grand Alliance administration.

The silence of BJP leaders over wrestlers’ protests against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) was allegedly questioned in some of the posters shown by the ruling coalition.

However, BJP supporters have put up banners criticizing the opposition’s unity in opposition to it.

Neeraj Kumar, a spokesman for the governing JD (U), told PTI in response to the poster conflict: “The party has nothing to do with these posters. Party members developed the concept and concepts for them, and they distributed posters across the city.

He said that the statements on the posters are valid and enquired as to what had become of the promises made to the public by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his NDA administration.
