Hydrogen transportation business ideas are being examined at a worldwide conference in Delhi

According to an official statement released on Thursday, the five-day global hydrogen partnership meeting, which India is hosting, focused on business models for hydrogen production, storage, and transportation as well as potential international partnerships and collaborations in the areas of finance, policy, and regulations.

The International Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy (IPHE) delegates gave country updates on R&D, significant policy developments, and hydrogen-related initiatives taken by their federal and provincial governments. Participating countries included Austria, Chile, France, the European Commission, Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Singapore, and South Korea.

The speakers touched on national clean hydrogen plans, as well as research and development projects pertaining to the production, storage, and transportation of hydrogen. They also discussed the state of demand generation, infrastructure development, supply and demand at scale, and workforce advancement.

The delegates also discussed the establishment of a specialized market and infrastructure for hydrogen, banks that specialize in hydrogen, import-export corridors, and a regulatory framework for detecting emission savings. The conversations also included public awareness, convenience of doing business, and high-efficiency and low-cost methods.

It was proposed that in order to guarantee greater involvement of the global community, particularly the nations of the Global South, membership need to be encouraged.

Additionally, it was decided that the 42nd Steering Committee will be hosted by the European Commission in November of this year during European Hydrogen Week.

The Committee Chair encouraged all parties involved to take decisive action to expedite the deployment of green hydrogen in all conceivable economic areas on a priority basis.

The 41st IPHE Steering Committee Meeting will end on March 22 after beginning on March 18.
