More executive moves are made by Man United as Jim Ratcliffe’s new era develops

As the new era under co-owner Jim Ratcliffe continues to take shape, Manchester United announced more changes to its executive structure on Tuesday.

The club announced that interim CEO Patrick Stewart and chief financial officer Cliff Baty will resign at the conclusion of the current campaign, mutually agreeing.

Ratcliffe’s INEOS Sport CEO, Jean-Claude Blanc, will serve in that capacity until July 13, when Omar Berrada, a former executive from Manchester City, assumes the position.

Roger Bell, a former chief financial officer of INEOS Sport, will succeed Baty.

One of the wealthiest people in Britain, Cliff Ratcliffe, stated, “I would like to personally thank both Patrick and Cliff for their support in helping us get to know the club and making us feel welcome and I respect their decisions to now move on as we establish a new management team for the club.”

The petrochemicals firm INEOS’s billionaire owner purchased a 25% share in United in February, and since then, the historic club has undergone a number of significant changes thanks to his investment.

Former football director John Murtough departed earlier this month, while former CEO Richard Arnold resigned in November.

Ratcliffe has taken over management of United’s soccer operations thanks to his investment, which will ultimately increase to a 27.7% interest rate.

Dave Brailsford, the INEOS director of sport, and Blanc have joined the soccer team’s board of directors.

In addition to Berrada’s hiring, Jason Wilcox, a former head of the City Academy, has been brought on as technical director. Dan Ashworth, the sports director of Newcastle, is yet another target.
