BJP recruits actress Rupali Ganguly before the Lok Sabha elections

Ahead of the third round of the Lok Sabha elections on Wednesday, actor Rupali Ganguly became a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party here.

Welcome to the BJP, Vinod Tawde, national general secretary, used the opportunity to criticize the opposition parties over the call for “vote jehad” made by Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Maria Alam.

In an attempt to win support for the INDIA bloc’s candidate for the Farrukhabad Lok Sabha seat, Alam called for a “vote jehad,” claiming that the present state of affairs required the minority community to overthrow the BJP.

Tawde responded to the statements made by the SP leader by saying, “The Opposition has begun a ‘vote jehad’ campaign, despite having been spreading lies.” This indicates that they are shook.”

He said, “On the one hand they are giving OBC reservation to Muslims, on the other they are talking about ‘vote jehad’ during elections.”

Tawde questioned Rahul Gandhi, the head of the party, and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on if the “campaign” was launched per the directive of the party hierarchy.

Here at the party headquarters, Ganguly joined the BJP with a number of senior party officials, including Anil Baluni, the head of the national media department.
