Day 7 box office receipts: Madgaon Express by Kunal Kemmu surpasses Swatantrya Veer Savarkar by Randeep Hooda

A week has passed since the theatrical premieres of Madgaon Express, directed by Kunal Kemmu, and Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, helmed by Randeep Hooda. While it has been difficult for both movies to get people into theatres, Madgaon Express has done better than Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.
On its seventh day of release, Sacnilk projects that Madgaon Express will bring in around Rs 1.20 crore, while Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is likely to make about Rs 1.15 crore.

Madgaon Express has made a total of Rs 11.35 crore, while Swatantrya Veer Savarkar has made a total of Rs 13.50 crore.
Madgaon Express has always maintained a lead against Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, emerging as the obvious victor in their box office duel despite identical growth rates in their box office receipts.

Ankita Lokhande plays Savarkar’s wife, Yamunabai, in the film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, which explores the life of Indian independence warrior and politician V. D. Savarkar. On the other hand, Madgaon Express chronicles the experiences of three childhood friends on an unexpectedly twisty journey to Goa, portrayed by Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu, and Avinash Tiwary.
The producers of both films have implemented a Buy 1 Get 1 deal on tickets in an effort to enhance foot traffic in theatres and support box office collections. This move is intended to improve ticket sales and draw in a wider audience.
The success of these films in the next few days will be closely watched to see how resilient they are to industry difficulties and viewer expectations as the competition plays out in the theatre.
