Fans of Ranbir Kapoor are accused of intimidating a lady who criticized his Ramayana appearance by altering her face in “obscene” pictures and videos

A lady who criticized actor Ranbir Kapoor for his stolen photo from the sets of his next film “Ramayana” has been the subject of cyberbullying and harassment from purported “fans” in a fairly alarming scenario that transpired on social media.

The lady tweeted to the @mpcyberpolice account, pleading for prompt action against the accounts that had been harassing her and going to unsettling measures to turn her private images into “obscene” films.

The lady implied in a tweet on April 27 that Ranbir’s new appearance as Lord Ram was the same as his “Sanju” and “Animal” personas, in response to a post that criticized the actor for it. She said, “Range is so good, I can’t even find the difference between the three characters,” which sparked a flurry of criticism from the actor’s fans online.

After publishing her message, she said that some of Kapoor’s admirers had gone so far as to engage in cyberbullying, turning her images into movies and pictures that would be shared online and damaging her reputation.

As a result of the constant barrage of abuse, the lady became so depressed that she tweeted, “Now I get why people su!c!d3 over cyberbullying; it can affect you so badly mentally.” This was her first indication of thoughts of self-harm.

She shared her upsetting experience on her handle, seeking support and help. She continuously tagged the cybercrime unit and provided ‘proof’ in the form of screenshots and URLs to the accounts that posted the modified photographs.

She sent a string of tweets that said, “I am a victim of online harassment and I am reaching out in dire need of assistance.” Without my permission, offensive changes and alterations are being made to my personal photos, which is upsetting and harmful. I’ve included every picture for your reference. I can provide the original movies and images in a direct message. These guys have been harassing me nonstop since yesterday, even after I called them out for manipulating pictures and videos in a very disgraceful way. These are the URLs to the tweets that were made today and are still active, despite my complaints and posts on the abuse I experienced.”

The impacted user appealed for help from authorities, namely the cybercrime section, in an attempt to resolve the problem. “I have also filed two online complaints regarding cybercrime, but I haven’t received a response. I can send the original PDFs to dm@mpcyberpolice,” the woman tweeted. I respectfully ask for your prompt attention and cooperation in looking into this. For your reference, I’ve included screenshots and URLs to the altered photographs as proof. In addition, I’m happy to provide any further details or help that’s required. Please take the appropriate steps. Your assistance on this subject is much appreciated. I’m grateful.

Online leaks occurred over the weekend, including pictures of Sai Pallavi and Ranbir Kapoor rehearsing for their roles as Lord Ram and Sita. The images showed the two in costume, filming their parts on the sets of their respective films. The staff quickly removed the illicit photos from the internet when they quickly became popular. One of the most eagerly awaited forthcoming movies, “Ramayana,” is set to hit theaters in 2025.
