Given that Mouni often posts stunning photos of herself online, the actress said in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha earlier this year that she felt trapped in her role as a glam girl and is now working to alter how the public and industry see her.

“Yes, without a doubt, I have been typecast, if you ask me. However, I have also been really fortunate to work with filmmakers who saw me in many roles and parts. Although it could be a fair profession, Mouni told us, “I genuinely believe that it’s a very difficult industry, as Emraan Hashmi says.”

Since making her television debut in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, starring Ekta Kapoor, Mouni Roy has gone a long way. Following her role in Naagin, she rose to fame.
