In a forthcoming movie, Vikrant Massey will play the journey of Ruskin Bond

The actor Vikrant Massey will work with upcoming filmmaker Niranjan Iyengar on a movie on the life of well-known novelist Ruskin Bond.

In addition to playing the lead in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s forthcoming film 12th Fail, he will also star in Niranjan Iyengar’s directorial debut, which promises to bring Ruskin Bond’s fascinating narrative to life.

The Room on the Roof, Ruskin Bond’s first book, was released in 1956 and was awarded the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize in 1957. More than 500 short stories, articles, and novels, including 69 for children, have been written by Bond.

The Sahitya Akademi Award was given to him in 1992 for “Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra.” In 1999 and 2014, he received the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, respectively. He resides in Landour, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, with his adoptive family.

With his performance as Aamir Hassan in Dhoom Machaao Dhoom, Vikrant made his acting debut. He went on to become well-known for his parts in Dharam Veer, Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo, and Qubool Hai.

With Lootera, he made his acting debut. He also had supporting roles in Dil Dhadakne Do, Half Girlfriend, A Death in the Gunj, and Chhapaak. He also received a lot of praise for his leading parts in the hit online series Broken But Beautiful and Mirzapur during this period.

In terms of acting roles, Vikrant will appear in Sector 36, 12th Fail, and an unnamed follow-up with debut filmmaker Niranjan Iyengar.
