In order to support independent musicians and directors, actor Jiiva has launched a record label

Actor Jiiva has inaugurated Deaf Frog Records, a music label dedicated to championing autonomous musicians and short filmmakers. The unveiling of the label transpired on the 31st of January, coinciding with the 21st anniversary of Jiiva’s inaugural cinematic endeavor, “Aasai Aasaiyai.”

Esteemed figures from the film industry, including Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Vishnu Vishal, Mirchi Shiva, Kalaiyarasan, Aadhav Kannadasan, Jithan Ramesh, music directors Vijay Antony and Santhosh Narayanan, producer Ishari K Ganesh, and others graced the occasion on January 31.

Addressing the gathering, Actor Jiiva proclaimed, “The inception of the Deaf Frogs music label is geared towards crafting musical compositions and brief cinematic productions for autonomous artists. Sustained by our parent company, Super Good Films, we have successfully introduced more than 40 emerging directors.”

Distinguished guests at the event unveiled a plethora of singles and short films. Santhosh Narayanan and Killa K presented the song “Puriya Vai” by an autonomous artist. Actor Vishnu Vishal revealed the short film “Paniyil Vizhum Kanal Kaatru” and articulated his reflections. Jayam Ravi introduced singer Kenisha’s composition, “Ithai Yaar Solvaro.” Additionally, Ishari Ganesh’s documentary “Folk Agenda,” Vijay Antony’s song “Every Girl,” Mirchi Siva’s short film “Ek Ladka Ek Ladki,” and a preview of Kalaiyarasan and Aadhav Kannadasan Inian’s web series “Funtastic” were launched during the event.

Vishnu Vishal, the creator of the short film “Paniyil Vizhum Kanal Kaatru,” reminisced about the nascent phase of his cinematic journey, accentuating his odyssey. Vishnu Vishal underscored his enduring 13-year camaraderie with Jiiva. Eulogizing Deaf Frogs, he commented, “Nurturing nascent talent is an inherent facet of his character, and his progenitor has championed numerous such artists.” He conveyed interest from his production company in collaborating with Deaf Frogs and extended his felicitations.
