‘Many Internal Issues’ Caused Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayan To Be Delayed, Won’t Happen This Year: Report

On Ramayan, Ranbir Kapoor and Nitesh Tiwari will work together. Ramayan is not yet officially titled, however, it was previously believed that production would begin this year. Said Pallavi apparently plays a major role in the movie as well. But according to a recent source, Ramayan may not start shooting this year. Before they could begin production, the movie supposedly had “several internal issues” that needed to be fixed.

Bollywood Hungama was informed by a source that “the project is on.” However, not this year. “There are too many internal issues to be resolved,” the source said. The research also said that costumes are an additional cause of the delay. The report said, “The costumes are not ‘lavish’ enough.” Ranbir and Nitesh haven’t responded to the allegations yet.

Producer Madhu Mantena allegedly withdrew from the project last week, according to Siasat. Madhu Mantena and Allu Aravind were reportedly co-producing Nitesh Tiwari’s film, however, Madhu has since resigned from his producer position. As of right now, it is unknown what motivated Madhu Mantena to allegedly make this choice. It should be mentioned that Mantena’s withdrawal has not yet been formally acknowledged by the creators. News18 was unable to confirm the allegations.

Lord Ram will be portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. The part of Sita has been assigned to Sai Pallavi. While Sunny Deol is supposedly signed for the character of Hanuman, KGF actor Yash is also set to portray Ravana in the film. According to reports, Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are also in negotiations to play Kumbhakarna and Vibhashana, respectively. According to recent reports, Amitabh Bachchan has been cast as the movie’s King Dashrath. As of right now, however, there has been no formal confirmation of this.
