I wink and cast a quick peek at Albert (Vijay Sethupathi) during this scene. He said that the scenario would have had half the effect it did if the wink hadn’t been there.
The actor also spoke on how a good director’s interaction with a talented actor enhances the overall effect. He said the wink made a big difference in the scene since it showed that the character had come to Maria’s (Katrina Kaif) residence with a fun purpose. He underlined how important it is to take into account each of these factors, emphasising that while an actor’s performance is important, the director ultimately shapes the picture.
