Nawazuddin Siddiqui said that after filming the Rajinikanth movie Petta, he felt bad: “I didn’t know what to do.”

In Petta, Nawazuddin Siddiqui debuted in Tamil opposite Rajinikanth. The actor, who portrayed the adversary in the movie, won a lot of accolades for it. But after shooting the movie, the actor said in an interview that he felt bad.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui discussed his feelings of guilt after working on the Rajinikanth movie Petta in a recent interview with Galatta Plus. He said, “After finishing the film’s shooting, I felt a lot of guilt because I thought I was taking money for something in which I had no idea what I was doing.” I felt like I embarrassed them as I was lip-syncing and needed encouragement. Many things there were beyond my comprehension.

“Even after that, if it is appreciated, you feel like hiding, and when you get money for that, you ask yourself if you are committing fraud,” he said, expressing his sense of guilt over his actions. I was weak at the thing I was paid money for. That eluded my understanding. I feel terrible about it.

The actor, who made his Telugu film debut in Saindhav with Venkatesh Daggubati, said that he was able to lessen his guilt by understanding every single phrase in the film. This is the reason I accomplished everything in Saindhav, he said. I was the one who handled the dubbing, and I knew exactly what each and every sentence meant. My shame so lessened somewhat.

The action-packed 2023 film Saindhav, directed by Sailesh Kolanu and produced by Venkat Boyanapalli, also stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Shraddha Srinath, Ruhani Sharma, Andrea Jeremiah, Sara, and Jayaprakash. Saindhav is now available for streaming on Prime Video India after its January 13 theatrical premiere.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s next film appearance will be in the supernatural thriller Adbut, which also has Diana Penty, Rohan Mehra, and Shreya Dhanwanthary in key parts. The movie’s premiere date has not yet been disclosed.
