‘No One Else Could Have’: Ira Khan reveals her mom Reena Dutta made her wedding cake
Ira Khan, the daughter of Aamir Khan, married Nupur Shikhare, her lifelong companion, earlier this year. The pair wed in opulence in Rajasthan and celebrated with a star-studded celebration in Mumbai. Even though there were several online peeks of the wedding and other celebrations, Ira spoke about her mother Reena Dutta’s kind gift. Ira said that her mother had created a unique wedding cake for their Udaipur ceremony.
Ira Khan shared a few photos from her January wedding celebrations on Instagram. She shared pictures of her mother, Reena Dutta, and other family members painstakingly making her wedding cake at the Taj Aravali Resort & Spa in Udaipur. Her mother was spotted beating the cream and then spreading frosting over the cake.
The last cake shown during the event, which included blue and white flowers and a rustic appearance, was featured in the carousel’s last image. Ira jokingly added, “The OG crew + Cherise,” in the description. Our wedding cake was prepared by no one else. I looked at Mama and she was biting at me, asking, “Is it dry?” either during or after Popeye was feeding me, I can’t recall.
A while ago, Ira tweeted a series of photos from her wedding celebrations to wish her father, Aamir Khan, a happy birthday. Aamir could be seen assisting Ira with her veil in the Instagram photo. The next stills were captured on her Sangeet evening. One may see Aamir kissing Ira on the forehead.
The photos also featured Ira and Aamir enjoying themselves greatly during her Mehndi celebrations. “Hello,” Ira wrote in the caption. Many happy returns on your birthday. Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s wedding festivities began in Mumbai before moving to Udaipur for their white wedding.
