Producer Vivek Vaswani says Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are married three times

An intimate friend of the actor, producer Vivek Vaswani, provided details about their wedding plans in a recent interview. Vivek said that Shah Rukh and Gauri exchanged vows three times in one day, illuminating the three rituals that represented their vows. The celebrations began with a court marriage, progressed to a conventional Muslim nikkah ceremony, and ended with a Hindu wedding that skillfully combined the traditions of each faith.
Vivek remembered the festivities as “fabulous,” describing them as a happy event with delicious food and exciting revelry. To further enhance the splendor of their marriage, he planned a five-day extravagant retreat for the newlyweds at a hotel in Mumbai.

On October 25, 1991, the pair formally exchanged vows after a six-year engagement.
