Reviews of Sunny Deol Karan Rao and Aamir Khan’s Laapataa Ladies: “It’s been a while since I’ve watched a movie this sweet and innocent.”

After a long break, Kiran Rao took the helm of Laapataa Ladies once again. The film, which was supported by Aamir Khan’s production company, was greeted with positive reviews and strong support from both reviewers and viewers. After seeing the film, Sunny Deol posted an insightful critique on social media.

Netflix just launched Laapataa Ladies. After giving his assessment of the movie, Sunny Deol suggested that everyone see it.

On April 29, Sunny Deol re-shared a post on his Instagram Story stating that Laapataa Ladies is now Netflix’s top trending movie.

“Just finished watching #LaapataLadies, haven’t seen such a heartwarming and innocent film in a long time,” the Gadar 2 star said, re-sharing it. “Best wishes to @raodyness and her team; I’ll be recommending this gem (happy emoji) to everyone.” In Hindi, he also translated his review.

“I witnessed the deeply touching and generous Laapata Ladies,” he wrote. Sometimes clarity and simplicity are all that’s required. That’s this movie. I in expecting more and left with more than it seemed to provide. It’s contemporary in a subtle sense, but it seems positively antiquated. Its approach and humor are deceptively straightforward.”

“The story spoke so beautifully to us because, even though it was set in the heartland of India, it was primarily the story of any woman,” said Sneha Desai, the film’s writer. It would continue to cry out to you whether you placed it in an urban or gloomy environment.

She went on to note that they felt compelled to convey a lot of ideas via their characters and their tale since it is a global topic of empowering women, pursuing your goals, and rediscovering yourself after you have lost sight of your ambitions.

Sparsh Shrivastava receives high appreciation from Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan complimented all of the Laapataa Ladies performers during his interview with author Neelesh Misra for Netflix India, but he especially singled out Sparsh Shrivastava, who the actor said astonished him. “When I first saw the film, Kiran showed me the rough cut, and I thought all the actors, even the most junior ones, did an amazing job,” the man said.

“These three,” he said, indicating Pratibha, Ravi, and Nitanshi, “did a great job.” You played your parts with great style. However, Sparsh’s character caught me off guard. I was startled by his performance. On paper, I could see how the others performed. However, Sparsh’s persona wasn’t exactly as outlined in the script. He was simply rushing about in a frenzy, with nothing to do. But I was blown away when I saw him do it. Your heart breaks for him, the way he’s done it.”

Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, is set in rural India in 2001. Two young newlyweds go astray on a train excursion, causing mayhem and celebration.

In the meanwhile, Laapataa Ladies debuted on March 1 in cinemas. The movie is based on Biplab Goswami’s multi-award winning narrative. The movie is available to view right now on Netflix.
