When Aamir Khan announced himself as the hero of “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak,” Makarand Deshpande says he laughed at him

In 1988, Aamir Khan made his cinematic debut in “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.” In Hindi cinema, this film was his first as a new-generation hero. He appeared in the movie with Juhi Chawla. Makarand Deshpande, who had a minor part in the film, recalled a humorous incident in which he teased Aamir for introducing himself as the hero in a recent interview.

Makarand also recalled persuading Mansoor Khan, the film’s director, to allow his character to physically abuse Aamir’s character.
During an interview with YouTuber Siddharth Kannan, Makarand recalled that he had known Aamir when he was younger and that he would often help out backstage at his shows. Unaware that Aamir comes from the same family, Makarand was requested to go meet Mansoor Khan for the movie. He slyly said that he was the hero when he first saw Aamir at work. Makarand scoffed at his expression as he stared at him.
During the filming, Makarand got to know Juhi Chawla and knew she was the starring woman. It was her first time acting.

Mansoor was once persuaded by Makarand that he wanted to defeat Aamir in the film. Although Makarand was trained in martial arts, the young actor was at that time rather slender. Mansoor was persuaded when he demonstrated a few movements to him. He thought Makarand would be too strong for Aamir to overcome. He therefore gave the action scene permission.
However, Nasir Hussain told Mansoor to reshoot the scene after seeing the tape since the “hero” can’t be defeated in this manner. It won’t work if he gets battered up this early. In order for him to be the hero, Nasir needed him to engage in some combat.
