Bibi dismisses Biden and says she will carry out the Rafah attack

Joe Biden begged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to postpone his intended ground invasion of Rafah, the final safe haven in Gaza for over a million displaced Palestinians, where Israel says Hamas militants are holed up. “We are determined to complete the elimination of these battalions in Rafah, and there’s no way to do that except by going in on the ground,” Netanyahu told MPs on Tuesday, expressing that he has made this “supremely clear” to the US president.

On Monday, the two leaders had a phone chat.
According to US national security advisor Jake Sullivan, Washington thought Israel could accomplish its goals in other ways and that attacking Rafah would be a “mistake.”. According to a White House spokeswoman, US and Israeli officials will probably get together in Washington early next week to talk about Israel’s military action in Rafah. Washington has started to press for a cease-fire once again. State Department Secretary Antony Blinken said he was going to West Asia. Blinken, however, did not mention a stop in Israel.
