Biden supports Netanyahu in Israel about the Gaza hospital attack

Regarding the hundreds of hospital bombings in Gaza, US President Joe Biden has endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Al-Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza City may not have been destroyed by Israel but by the opposing force, according to Biden, who arrived in Israel earlier today.

“From what I’ve seen, it looks like the other team, not you, was responsible. But many people are still unsure, therefore there are many obstacles we must overcome, he said Netanyahu, according to the Times of Israel.

In light of Washington’s “full support” for Israel in its fight against Hamas and the humanitarian catastrophe it has sparked in Gaza, Biden’s remarkable travel to Israel during a time of conflict was perceived as a balancing effort by the US government. As a result of the hospital assault, Biden’s meeting with Arab leaders—including Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority—in Jordan has been canceled.

Israel is said to have bombed the hospital, according to Hamas and the Palestinian government. Israel has refuted their claims, claiming that Palestinian Islamic Jihad rockets that were accidentally discharged were to blame for the hospital assault.

Speaking at a news conference, IDF spokeswoman Hagari stated they have determined that the Palestinian Islamic Jihad organization was accountable for the explosion at the Al Ahli hospital after carefully examining the “evidence”.

Hagari told reporters, “We did an immediate review with all relevant branches of the IDF,” outlining the circumstances leading up to the strike.

He said that at 18:15 local time on Tuesday, just before to the hospital explosion, Hamas launched a barrage of rockets against Israel, and that around 45 minutes later, the PIJ launched about 10 more missiles from a nearby cemetery. He said that the hospital was attacked at the same moment.

Additionally, Hagari said that he had information demonstrating militant organizations communicating with one another about unsuccessful rocket launches. The IDF also posted a claimed chat between militants on X.

The Gaza hospital explosion has also drawn criticism from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who expressed “serious concerns” over civilian casualties in the Israel-Hamas conflict that ensued after the fatal assaults in Israel on October 7.
